Responsibilities: Conduct routine and unannounced safety inspections of commercial roofing job sites. Identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions to ensure compliance with OSHA, ANSI, and company safety policies. Assist Director of Safety in safety programs, policies, and procedures specific to commercial roofing. Monitor the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure workers adhere to safety protocols. Assist Safety Manager investigate workplace accidents, incidents, and near-misses. Maintain detailed reports and documentation of inspections, violations, and corrective measures. Work closely with Safety Manager, superintendents, foremen, and site supervisors to address safety concerns. Ensure proper fall protection systems, scaffolding, and other safety equipment are in place and function correctly. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Occupational Safety, Construction Management, or related field preferred). Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial roofing safety or a related field. OSHA 30-hour Construction Safety Certification Knowledge of fall protection, ladder safety, scaffold safety, and hazard communication. Strong attention to detail and ability to identify potential risks. Proficiency in safety reporting software and Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with risk assessment and accident prevention strategies. Familiarity with construction industry safety auditing processes Special Position Requirements Sit, stand, walk, climb and balance. Stoop, crouch and step over obstacles. Lift and/or move 50 lbs. Work in outdoor conditions that include inclement weather, cold/hot temperatures and humidity. Available to work extended hours.
