Job Description:
Job SummaryThe Certified Project Manager will be responsible for
leading and managing complex, concurrent projects across multiple
departments, including engineering, production, supply chain,
sales, and service & repair teams. This role requires expertise in
best practice project management methodologies (e.g., PMP
Certification) to ensure projects are completed on time, within
scope, and within budget while aligning with business objectives.
The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, problem solver,
and cross-functional leader who can drive efficiency and
collaboration in a manufacturing environment.Key
ResponsibilitiesProject Planning & ExecutionLead and manage
complex, multi-disciplinary projects from initiation to completion,
ensuring alignment with business objectives.Develop comprehensive
project plans, defining scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines,
and resource allocation.Utilize best practice project management
methodologies (PMP) to drive execution and risk mitigation.Define
and monitor KPIs for project performance, ensuring transparency and
proactive issue resolution.Drive the adoption of digital project
management tools (e.g., MS Project, Wrike, Jira, Smartsheet, or
ERP-integrated systems).Cross-Functional CollaborationServe as the
primary liaison between engineering, production, supply chain,
sales, and service & repair teams to ensure seamless project
execution.Facilitate regular cross-functional meetings to track
progress, resolve challenges, and ensure clear communication of
project priorities.Align manufacturing and engineering teams on new
product introductions (NPI), process improvements, and equipment
installations.Work with supply chain and procurement teams to
coordinate material availability, supplier timelines, and inventory
optimization.Partner with service and repair teams to ensure
project planning accounts for long-term maintenance,
serviceability, and customer support.Risk Management &
Problem-SolvingIdentify, analyze, and proactively mitigate project
risks to prevent delays, cost overruns, or operational
inefficiencies.Lead root cause analysis (RCA) for project-related
issues and implement corrective action plans.Develop contingency
plans and agile adjustments to accommodate unexpected changes in
production, supply chain, or customer demands.Process Improvement &
Best PracticesDrive continuous improvement initiatives in project
execution by integrating Lean, Six Sigma, and Agile
methodologies.Standardize project workflows and documentation to
improve efficiency, scalability, and knowledge transfer.Optimize
project reporting structures to provide real-time visibility to
senior leadership.Foster a culture of operational excellence,
accountability, and innovation within the project management
team.Financial & Resource ManagementDevelop and manage project
budgets, ensuring cost control and financial accountability.Work
with finance teams to forecast and track project expenditures,
identifying opportunities for cost savings.Ensure optimal
utilization of human and material resources, coordinating staffing
needs and workload balancing.Qualifications & ExperiencePMP
(Project Management Professional) Certification required; Agile,
Lean Six Sigma certification is a plus.Bachelor's degree or
equivalent work experience in a complex project management
environment. Solid experience in Engineering, Business, Operations
Management, or related field.5+ years of project management
experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or production
setting.Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects
across engineering, production, supply chain, and service
teams.Experience implementing project management best practices in
manufacturing (NPV, CAPEX, operational efficiency projects,
etc.).Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability
to influence and drive cross-functional alignment.Expertise in
project scheduling, resource planning, and risk
assessment.Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems, digital project
management tools (Wrike, Smartsheet, MS Project, Jira, etc.), and
data analytics tools.Ability to analyze financial data to track
project costs, ROI, and profitability.Strong communication and
stakeholder management skills, with experience presenting to
executive leadership.Work EnvironmentManufacturing plant & office
setting, with regular interaction on the production floor.Limited
travel may be required for supplier coordination, customer visits,
